i've chosen not to comment on them, merely emphasising what i thought most relevent, and to leave it up to you .

Greetings replaces Love
by Fatal Error ini have noticed that recently, when we have a visiting brother in our congregation, the speaker will ask him to return our "greetings" to the other congregation, as opposed to our "love".
i vagueley remember a brief announcement a few weeks ago, but i wasn't paying attention.
am i just tripping, or is this widespread?

Kingdom Ministry Study Article
by Fatal Error induring our service meeting tonight, we discussed an article titled "balanced oversight", in which brosthers are encouraged to turn down theocratic privileges if it might detract from his family, and that responsibilities should be shared amongst the congregation.
the emphasis was on building a family unit strong in the truth, and delegating privileges when need be, thus, imho, shifting responsibility from the elders and ministerial servants onto the entire congregation... we got the usual biggin up of elders, they should be commended for what they do, and that due to the fact that they are volonteers, can't be held responsible for the odd error of judgement (or major cock-up?).
could this be a shift by the society to protect or even dilute its "clergy class", so as to limit liability?

CO talk
by Fatal Error inwe had our second co talk yesterday, the topic of which was loyalty, thinly veiled as to one another, but dripping with threats toward those who might go against the society.. after the usual drivel about the society being god's organisation, and appreciating their junk food (as an aside, has anyone actually vomitted up any of this "food"??
just wondering...), i was rudely dragged out of my slumber by the co's harsh declaration that we should shun all those who slipped away from the thruth, as they inactivity is a bad influence.
he went on to heap the blame on them, "if they feel this way, then they should expect their due", "they bring shunning onto themselves" etc.... has it always been this way?
